Skai Jackson, the 22-year-old actress renowned for her role as Zuri Ross in Disney Channel's sitcom *Jessie*, was arrested last week at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles. The incident occurred on August 8, when Jackson was detained by security for allegedly pushing her boyfriend. Following the altercation, authorities were called to the scene, and after reviewing surveillance footage, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department took her into custody. Fortunately, no injuries or weapons were reported. Jackson was subsequently transported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station, where she was released a few hours later. As of now, it remains unclear whether she will face official charges related to the incident. The Independent has reached out to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office for further clarification, while Jackson's representative has not yet provided a comment on the situation. The actress gained fame at the young age of nine for her role in *Jessie*, which aired from 2011 to 2015, and later reprised her character in the spin-off series *Bunk’d* until its conclusion earlier this month. Jackson has continued her acting career post-Disney, with her latest project being the thriller *The Man in the White Van*, set to hit theaters on October 11. The film, inspired by true events, explores the unsettling experiences of a young girl in 1974 Florida. In addition to her upcoming film, Jackson has appeared in the 2023 action movie *Sheroes* and a guest role in HBO’s *A Black Lady Sketch Show*.
