Xu highlighted troubling statements from Duke Health personnel, including a surgeon who expressed pride in serving predominantly non-White patients, suggesting a bias against White individuals. He emphasized that medical professionals should not harbor prejudices against any patient demographic. The organization aims to pressure Duke Health to abandon its anti-racism program, which they argue lacks scientific backing. The petition calls for the removal of what Color Us United describes as divisive race-based ideologies and practices within the Duke University Health System. They are seeking 10,000 signatures to bolster their campaign. Xu stated that they are actively engaging with Duke's board of trustees and major donors, urging them to renounce the current DEI framework and align with scientific principles.
