The 19th China International Mountain Outdoor Sports Open commenced on September 7, 2024, in Wulong District, Chongqing Municipality. This prestigious event has attracted 47 teams from various countries, including New Zealand and France, showcasing its international appeal. The competition spans approximately 241.4 kilometers, divided into four stages, and highlights the stunning natural landscapes of Chongqing, integrating the region's mountain outdoor resources with its sports industry. Since its inception in 2003, the event has been held eighteen times and is recognized as one of the most significant off-road races globally. In July 2024, it was honored as one of China's top ten sports tourism projects, reflecting its growing importance in the sports tourism sector. The organizers aim to maintain high standards and professionalism to ensure a successful competition. Wulong District is renowned for its natural beauty and has received numerous accolades, including being designated a world natural heritage site and a national 5A tourist attraction.
