The Grange Dundee Hills inn has officially opened its doors in mid-summer, offering stunning views of expansive grapevines that transform with the seasons in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The inn features nine uniquely designed rooms, each named after the region's distinctive soil types, including Jory, Oregon's official state soil, which supports the growth of Pinot noir and Chardonnay on the property. The architectural design, crafted by Portland's Urban Patterns, blends rustic charm with luxury, showcasing elements like deodar cedar wood headboards and locally sourced art. Located just 50 yards from the established Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard, the Grange serves as a complementary venture to the original Tuscan-style inn. Guests check in at the Black Walnut, where they are greeted with welcome bubbly. The new inn's General Manager, Nick Meltzer, has incorporated vintage furniture from an onsite barn into the decor, creating a cozy den for relaxation and socializing. In addition to luxurious accommodations, the Grange offers outdoor activities, including a newly blazed trail through the surrounding woods filled with Douglas fir and black walnut trees. Visitors are encouraged to explore the scenic route along the Willamette River, dotted with wineries and farms, leading to the impressive Willamette Falls. The Grange Dundee Hills and Black Walnut Inn aim to foster a community atmosphere, reminiscent of summer camp, where guests can connect over shared meals and evening gatherings by the fireplace.
