Lamborghini's latest supercar, the Temerario, made a striking debut at The Quail, captivating an eager audience. The vehicle boasts a hybrid powertrain that combines a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors, generating an impressive 907 horsepower. This innovative system mirrors the layout of the previous V12-powered Revuelto, which succeeded the Aventador last year, but features a new 3.8-kilowatt-hour battery that powers a rear axial flux electric motor mounted on the crankshaft. The design of the Temerario has drawn significant attention, as it shares aesthetic elements with the Revuelto and the new Urus SE hybrid. Its compact footprint enhances its profile, while design cues hint at its performance capabilities. Notably, the car features a more aggressive diffuser and larger wheels, measuring 20 and 21 inches, respectively. Lamborghini has also focused on improving daily drivability, with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox that offers smooth shifts in Strada mode and rapid gear changes in Sport and Corsa modes. In terms of dimensions, the Temerario appears slightly taller than the Revuelto, although it is actually 273 millimeters shorter in length. The interior design closely resembles that of the Revuelto, featuring a cantilevered touchscreen and similar steering wheel controls. A standout feature is the new drift mode, which highlights the fun potential of the hybrid system's torque vectoring and advanced software, all while maintaining a weight of 3,725.8 pounds.
