The Everywhere brewery, based in Orange, California, was awarded the gold medal in the Juicy or Hazy India Pale Ale category for its brews, especially the Shifted Visions beer. This specific brew is a 7.1% ABV hazy IPA crafted with oats and premium pilsner malt, boasting hops such as Nectar on, Motueka, Simcoe, and Citra. Notably, the competition attracted an impressive number of entries, with 290 beers vying for recognition in the category, more than any other. The silver and bronze medals were awarded to Hawaiian Hana Koa Brewing Co. for its How To Make Friends and Indianapolis's Guggman Haus Brewing Co. for its Riverside NEIPA, respectively. This competition is part of the broader event, which consisted of 112 beer categories and 5 cider categories, receiving a total of over 8,300 entries from 49 countries. Moving beyond hazy IPAs, the West Coast-Style India Pale category held significant sway, with 253 entries. Here too, a California brewery, Pinthouse Brewing from Austin, Texas, took home the gold for its Mosaic Takedown beer. Silver went to Oakland's Ghost Town Brewing, and Wayward Lane Brewing from Schoharie, New York, secured bronze.
