Upadhyay had a distinguished career spanning 36 years, serving as a special correspondent for 'Maharashtra Times' starting in 1970. Her contributions to journalism were significant, and she was actively involved in the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, advocating for the rights and recognition of journalists. Following her death, her body was cremated at the Charai crematorium in Chembur on Tuesday. She is survived by a daughter and a son, leaving behind a legacy that has inspired many in the field of journalism.
