After a wave of misinformation led to threats against the company, Clare's Care initially announced refunds but quickly retracted that statement. They later confirmed that Nwabichie would receive £28,000, while £1,000 would go to affected staff and £36,000 to local charities, including £10,000 for Cleveland police. Amidst the turmoil, a separate GoFundMe launched by a supporter has raised over £6,000, with Nwabichie expressing gratitude for the community's support during this challenging time.
