Colorado sports betting tax revenue supports water conservation efforts

In the United States, Colorado has experienced a significant increase in sports betting activity, culminating in a record fiscal year during which the state earned more than $36 million in tax revenue. This unprecedented revenue was generated after over $6.3 billion was wagered, reflecting a growing interest in legalized sports gambling within the state. However, the last few years have seen a dramatic increase in total tax revenue exceeding $100 million.
