In Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, who chairs the General Entertainment Authority, oversaw a ceremony on a Wednesday where agreements were signed for a mass wedding initiative set to take place in January. This event aims to unite 300 couples as a demonstration of Riyadh Season's commitment to social responsibility. The wedding ceremonies are designated to occur on two prominent stages at Boulevard City, with the Abu Bakr Salem Stage allocated for the men’s hall and the Mohammed Abdu Arena reserved for the women’s hall. The event is supported by various contributions, focusing not only on celebrating the couples' unions but also addressing their post-wedding needs. Among these provisions, housing for new couples will be facilitated through the Jood Eskan platform in accordance with conditions set by the Sakani program, a housing initiative aimed at aiding newlyweds establish a stable living environment. Moreover, prominent companies, including Banque Saudi Fransi and Abu Al-Hassan Trading and Investment Group, have pledged financial support of SR1 million each, which collectively amounts to approximately $532,000, enhancing the financial framework necessary for this large-scale event. In addition to financial contributions, a collaboration was established between the General Entertainment Authority and Saudi Telecommunications Co. to provide free internet service to the wedding beneficiaries for one year, further ensuring that newlyweds can stay connected as they start their new life together. This initiative also includes various services aimed at enriching the wedding experience, encompassing hospitality, dining options, guided preparations, and family counseling sessions, ultimately creating a comfortable and joyous atmosphere for all participants during the mass wedding.
