Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is vying for his second consecutive PFA Player of the Year award, having been nominated alongside teammates Phil Foden and Rodri. The Norwegian forward previously won the award following City’s treble-winning campaign in 2022-23. Rodri, a pivotal player in City's midfield, played a crucial role in their latest Premier League success and was instrumental in Spain's victory at Euro 2024. Meanwhile, England's Foden also had an impressive season, scoring 27 goals under the management of Pep Guardiola. The competition for the prestigious award includes Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Arsenal's Martin Odegaard, and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins, all of whom have made significant impacts in their respective teams. In the women's category, the award is set to be contested between players from Chelsea and Manchester City. Chelsea's Niamh Charles, Erin Cuthbert, and Lauren James are nominated alongside City's Yui Hasegawa, Lauren Hemp, and Khadija Shaw.
