Suspect Arrested in Maryland Mom's Murder

Baltimore authorities have released video footage showing the arrest of Victor Martinez Hernandez, the man charged with the murder of Rachel Morin, a Maryland mother of five. The arrest took place in June at a bar in Tulsa, Oklahoma, nearly ten months after Morin's body was discovered off the Ma & Pa Trail in Harford County. The video depicts police and FBI agents approaching Martinez Hernandez, who initially denied involvement in the crime before being taken into custody. Martinez Hernandez was apprehended after he failed to provide identification and attempted to use a false name. Following his arrest, he was extradited to Maryland, where he faces multiple charges, including first and second-degree murder, rape, sex offense, and kidnapping. Morin's car was found at the trailhead, and her body was located approximately 60 to 70 feet off the trail, prompting a thorough investigation by law enforcement. Authorities revealed that Martinez Hernandez had illegally entered the United States after an arrest warrant was issued for a murder in El Salvador. Additionally, he is linked to a home invasion assault involving a child in Los Angeles, with DNA evidence connecting him to Morin's crime scene.
