GOP targets eight state Democrats in ad campaign

The Republican State Legislative Committee (RSLC) is set to launch a significant ad campaign targeting eight Democratic lawmakers in Arizona, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin as the 2024 election cycle approaches its final weeks. This initiative, dubbed 'Left’s Most Wanted,' aims to hold these Democrats accountable for perceived failures in areas such as immigration, crime, and education, which are critical voter issues this election season. RSLC President Dee Duncan emphasized the importance of defending GOP majorities in battleground states by taking an offensive approach against Democratic lawmakers. The campaign is part of a broader strategy to maintain Republican control over state legislative chambers, which has been in place since 2010. The RSLC has previously identified key districts that have shown narrow margins in past elections, indicating potential vulnerabilities for Democrats. With Republicans currently holding 57 state legislative chambers, the RSLC is focused on defending their majorities while also looking to flip seats from Democratic control. The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee has announced a $10 million investment aimed at flipping state legislative seats in battleground states.
