A murder investigation is underway following the death of a man in his 20s at a holiday park in Felixstowe, Suffolk. The victim was reportedly attacked while walking along the seafront promenade on Saturday night. He was discovered deceased in a rented mobile home at the Suffolk Sands holiday park around 10:20 AM on Sunday. A post-mortem examination has confirmed that the cause of death was a traumatic head injury. In connection with the incident, a 28-year-old man from Felixstowe was arrested on Monday night on suspicion of murder. He is currently being questioned by police in Martlesham, near Ipswich. Detective Inspector Mark Hughes of Suffolk Police stated that investigations are ongoing and urged anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has relevant information to come forward. He emphasized that authorities believe this to be an isolated incident, posing no broader threat to the public. Residents of the holiday park expressed their shock at the tragedy, noting that the deceased was likely a holidaymaker staying with family, including his grandfather. One resident described the community as close-knit and lamented the loss of life, stating, "It is terrible that this young lad lost his life." Suffolk Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly those with CCTV, dash cam, or video doorbell footage from the area of Ranelagh Road and Undercliff Road West between 8:30 PM and 9:20 PM on Saturday night.
