Evri and Yodel ranked worst for customer support in parcel delivery
- Ofcom's report shows that Evri and Yodel have the lowest ratings for customer support among parcel delivery firms.
- Despite a general satisfaction rate of 78% among parcel recipients, a significant two-thirds experienced issues, mostly related to delivery delays.
- The findings indicate a need for continued improvement in parcel service delivery, especially for vulnerable consumer groups.
In the UK, a report by Ofcom revealed that Evri and Yodel rank as the least effective parcel delivery firms for customer support. Despite 78% of parcel recipients reporting satisfaction with delivery services, two-thirds encountered issues in the last six months, primarily concerning delays and delivery practices. Notably, Amazon and DHL topped the customer satisfaction ratings, with 56% and 55% respectively, while Evri and Yodel scored just 32% and 38%. Ofcom has noted improvements in complaint handling but continues to monitor the situation closely, especially regarding disabled consumers who face more challenges during delivery processes. The report also emphasizes that while Royal Mail has improved in parcel handling, it is still losing ground, raising concerns about the future of the universal service in the UK.
