83-Year-Old Morgan Perigo Reunited with Lost Class Ring After 47 Years

In mid-October, a diver named Alex Davis discovered a class ring from McMaster University while diving near Miami Beach in Barbados. The ring, which had the year 1965 and the initials 'FMP', prompted Davis to contact McMaster University to help locate its owner. Karen McQuigge led a search in the school’s alumni database and identified the owner as Morgan Perigo, who lost the ring while trying to rescue his son from a wave in 1977 during a family trip. The ring was successfully returned to Perigo, arriving on the evening of his 83rd birthday, providing him with a poignant reminder of his past. This unexpected reunion not only highlights the uniqueness of treasure hunting but also showcases the persistence of memories tied to personal belongings.
