Buc-ee's expands with new locations in Virginia, Mississippi, and Georgia

In the summer of 2025, Buc-ee's, the largest convenience store and gas station chain, is set to open three new centers, marking its expansion into new territories. The new locations will be established in Rockingham County, Virginia, Harrison County, Mississippi, and Brunswick, Georgia. This initiative comes as part of Buc-ee's plan to grow its presence beyond its original states, targeting customers in regions previously unfamiliar with its services. The Virginia location in Rockingham County, positioned approximately 2.5 hours west of Washington, D.C., will be particularly significant as it becomes Buc-ee’s most northeastern operation in the U.S. The local government has expressed enthusiasm over the announcement, highlighting the economic benefits that the center will bring, including job creation and substantial investment. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin publicly welcomed Buc-ee's plans, indicating that the project represents 200 new jobs and an investment exceeding $60 million in the community. Similarly, the center in Harrison County, Mississippi, will mirror this scale with a massive 74,000 square feet facility, employing 200 residents and serving 100 gas pumps, alongside its commitment to sustainability through 20 electric vehicle charging stations. Brunswick's new facility will represent the third Buc-ee’s in Georgia, expanding its reach in the Peach State as part of a broader strategy to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
