Harris Faces Scrutiny Amid Presidential Bid and Border Crisis

Despite a reported decrease in crossings from the Northern Triangle countries, overall illegal crossings have surged to record levels in recent years. In 2023 alone, more than 30,000 migrants from China were apprehended at the southern border, highlighting the complex and multifaceted nature of the ongoing immigration crisis. President Biden has tasked Harris with leading diplomatic efforts in Central America to address these challenges, but the effectiveness of these initiatives remains to be seen.
