Walgreens buys only prescription files from Rite Aid

In the United States, Rite Aid, the drugstore chain, recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the second time within two years. This bankruptcy case included the sale of its pharmacy assets, which involved over 800 stores. Walgreens confirmed it would be purchasing only the prescription files and not any physical store locations. The announcement was made by a company spokesman, noting that these files are being acquired from stores located in nine different states, including New York and California.
