Story

Tulum Beach in Mexico has been recognized as the beach with the whitest sand globally, surpassing renowned destinations such as the Seychelles and Greece. This conclusion was drawn from a study conducted by CV Villas, which analyzed over 200 beaches worldwide using color analysis theory and Google Maps images. Tulum Beach's sand was found to be just 1.4 points away from the purest shade of white, solidifying its top position in the rankings. Interestingly, while Tulum Beach leads the list, the Seychelles is the only African beach to make it into the top 30. The rankings revealed a surprising dominance of European beaches, with half of the top 30 located on the continent. Marmari Beach in Kos, Greece, emerged as the whitest sand beach in Europe, with a 6.5 point difference from the whitest color. Other notable European entries include two Italian beaches in the top ten and several Spanish beaches, showcasing the region's sandy treasures. Spain, in particular, excelled in the rankings, boasting six entries in the top 30, more than any other country. While no English beaches made the list, Scotland's Luskentyre Beach tied for 18th place. The study also highlighted the presence of North American beaches, with eight making the top 30, while only three Asian beaches from Thailand were included. Oceania's sole representative was Whitehaven Beach in Australia, ranking 25th.
