- Miller's hiring follows her successful stint at Grand Canyon, raising expectations for Arizona State's team.
In March 2025, Arizona State University announced the hiring of Molly Miller as the new head coach for its women's basketball team, following the dismissal of former coach Natasha Adair. Natasha Adair had a record of 29 wins and 62 losses in her three seasons, which led to the decision for a change in leadership. Miller returned to the Tempe area after a highly successful tenure at Grand Canyon University, where she led the Lopes to their very first Western Athletic Conference (WAC) title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Under her leadership, Grand Canyon achieved a remarkable 32-3 record, showcasing her ability to build a competitive program. The Lopes were on a 30-game winning streak before suffering a first-round exit in the NCAA Tournament against Baylor. Prior to her time at Grand Canyon, Molly Miller had built an impressive resume at Drury University, where she posted an outstanding record of 180 wins and only 17 losses across six seasons. Miller's impressive coaching achievements have drawn significant attention and excitement from both the basketball community and social media platforms, indicating a bright future for the Arizona State program under her guidance. GCU athletic director Jamie Boggs expressed gratitude towards Miller for her contributions to the program and wished her success in her new role at Arizona State.
