This significant event attracted over 6,000 business participants and more than 90 key leaders from various Belt and Road countries, highlighting the growing interest in international collaboration as the Belt and Road Initiative enters a new phase. During the summit, a record 25 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, which included both government-to-government and business-to-business agreements. Notably, one MoU was established between the HKTDC and Cambodia's Ministry of Commerce, aimed at enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Additionally, a strategic joint venture was announced between Farmacy International from Hong Kong and FutureBright Society from Australia, focusing on sustainable agricultural innovation. The summit also featured extensive investment matching services, resulting in over 280 matched projects and more than 800 one-on-one meetings. These sessions concentrated on key sectors such as energy, technology, urban development, and logistics, showcasing Hong Kong's pivotal role as a dealmaker in the region. Keynote speeches from influential figures, including Dilma Rousseff, emphasized the importance of international cooperation in addressing global challenges.
