Trinity Metro to debut Orange Line service Sept. 15

Trinity Metro is set to launch its new Orange Line route this Sunday, connecting the Fort Worth Stockyards with Downtown Fort Worth. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving Visit Fort Worth, local business leaders, and the city to enhance transportation options in key entertainment districts. The service will operate daily, providing rides every 15 minutes from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., with free rides available until October 31. The Orange Line will include several strategic stops, such as Fort Worth T&P Station, Fort Worth Central Station, and various locations along North Main Street, facilitating access to the Historic Northside and the Stockyards. This route aims to improve connectivity for both residents and visitors, promoting economic growth in the area. Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker emphasized the importance of this transportation route in fostering hospitality and tourism, highlighting its role in meeting the demands of the city’s busiest districts. Rich Andreski, president and CEO of Trinity Metro, noted that the initiative is designed to enhance access to the city’s vibrant culture and entertainment offerings. A launch party will take place in the Fort Worth Stockyards on Saturday, featuring live music and line dancing, marking the beginning of this new service. The Orange Line is expected to significantly benefit the local economy by attracting more visitors and providing residents with better access to entertainment and business opportunities.
