Police Investigate Suspected Murder of Woman Found Near Train Line

Authorities are investigating the suspected murder of a woman discovered unconscious near a train line in Suffolk. The victim, a mother of six, was found by a passerby around 6:25 AM on a track off Rectory Lane and was subsequently taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with severe head injuries. A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and later re-arrested on suspicion of murder. Additionally, a 37-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly handling stolen goods related to the case. The police are actively appealing for information regarding the incident, particularly seeking the victim's pink zip-up jacket, which she was believed to be wearing at the time of the attack. Officers are conducting house-to-house inquiries, examining the scene, and reviewing CCTV footage as part of their investigation.
