His latest donation of $50 million was made on July 15, coinciding with President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race and endorsement of Kamala Harris. Mellon, an heir to a prominent banking fortune, previously donated $50 million to the same PAC on May 31, shortly after Trump faced a New York jury's conviction on felony charges related to a past scandal.
