The 32-year-old actress shared her feelings of nostalgia, stating, "It felt like I was home again," as she reunited with her former co-star David Henrie to discuss the project. The new series introduces a young wizard named Billie, portrayed by Janice LeAnn Brown, who brings a rebellious energy to the household of Justin, Henrie's character, and his family. Henrie revealed that the idea for the spinoff emerged from heartfelt conversations with Gomez and his wife over the years, where they envisioned the future of their beloved characters. "I think we have a show. I think we should go talk to Disney about this," he recalled, highlighting the years of development that went into bringing the concept to fruition.
