VINELAND, N.J. (CBS) — A tragic accident in Millville, New Jersey, claimed the lives of three young men early Sunday morning. The Vineland Police Department reported that the crash occurred just before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mayslanding and Panther roads. The victims have been identified as Ian P. Rodriguez, 23, Joquan Carter, 26, and Shamere Bryant, 24, all residents of Millville. According to authorities, Rodriguez was driving a BMW westbound on Mayslanding Road at a high speed when he lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the roadway near the intersection with Panther Road, colliding with a utility pole. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn and subsequently strike an irrigation winch located at the corner of the intersection. The severity of the crash resulted in two of the men being ejected from the vehicle. Tragically, all three were pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency personnel. The incident has raised concerns about road safety and speeding in the area.
