In a significant development within the gaming industry, MindsEye, a new third-person action-adventure game, is set to launch. Developed by Build A Rocket Boy, a studio established by Leslie Benzies, the former president of Rockstar North, the game takes place in the futuristic desert city of Redrock, which draws inspiration from Las Vegas. Players will step into the shoes of Jacob Diaz, a former special-ops soldier who is entangled in a mission critical to humanity's survival as robots, driven by human greed, start to rise. The game features a linear narrative driven story accompanied by an option for free roam in the expansive environments of Redrock, giving players the freedom to explore while engaging with various missions. Players will have access to diverse weapons tailored for different situations, providing a rich combat experience against soldiers and hostile robots. Additionally, the Game Creation System, a unique feature of MindsEye, allows players to create, publish, and share user-generated content including missions and maps, enhancing community interaction and creativity within the game. This initiative also underscores the growing trend in the gaming industry toward encouraging players to become creators. With its release on platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, gamers worldwide eagerly anticipate the launch, scheduled for June 10 at 6pm BST, 1pm ET, and 10am PT.
