Valencia Store Owner Says Same Man Stole Glasses Two Days in a Row

The owner of OPTIX Optometry in Valencia, Dr. Gavineh Nersiyan, is expressing her frustration after her store was burglarized on consecutive days over the weekend. The first incident occurred on Friday afternoon when a man, dressed in a white t-shirt, hat, and jeans, entered the store under the pretense of scheduling an appointment. As he exited, he seized several pairs of designer eyeglasses from a display before fleeing the scene. The following day, the same individual, seemingly in the same outfit, returned to the store. This time, he bypassed the receptionist and directly grabbed more eyeglasses, again escaping quickly. Dr. Nersiyan lamented the ease with which these crimes were committed, stating, "It doesn't feel like a very safe environment anymore," and noted that the incidents would impact how her practice operates moving forward. Surveillance footage from the store captured clear images of the suspect, including his face and clothing, which could aid law enforcement in their investigation. Dr. Nersiyan plans to file a report with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to address the thefts and seek justice for her business. The repeated thefts have raised concerns about safety and security in the area, prompting discussions among local business owners about measures to protect their establishments from similar incidents in the future.
