ICEYE launches 25 cm imaging mode for enhanced earth observation

In Finland, on October 2, 2024, ICEYE unveiled its latest imaging mode, Dwell Precise, which offers a remarkable 25-centimeter resolution. This new capability enhances ICEYE's existing Dwell product line, which began with the introduction of Dwell mode in May 2023 and was followed by Dwell Fine in March 2024. The Dwell Precise mode utilizes a 1200 MHz radar bandwidth, the maximum allowed for commercial satellites, enabling users to identify smaller objects and features on the Earth's surface with unprecedented clarity. The Dwell Precise mode is particularly beneficial for applications requiring detailed identification, such as distinguishing between different types of vehicles and military equipment, without relying on additional intelligence sources. The technology allows for imaging through tree cover and foliage, thanks to its comprehensive range of radar angles.
