Officials in Oakland County have charged Oumair Aejaz, a 40-year-old physician from Rochester Hills, with several sex crimes involving both adults and children. The charges include one count of child sexually abusive activity, four counts of capturing an image of an unclothed person, and multiple counts of using a computer to commit a crime. The allegations detail disturbing incidents, including the recording of a toddler undressing in a swim club changing room and the violation of an unconscious woman in a hospital bed. According to Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, the crimes took place at various locations, including Aejaz's residence, his places of employment, and the Goldfish Swim Club in Rochester. Investigators revealed that Aejaz had installed cameras in changing rooms, bathrooms, and other private areas, which he accessed while off-duty. The charges also involve an unnamed underaged victim, as stated by Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. Aejaz, who had privileges at Ascension Genesys and Henry Ford Macomb hospitals, is currently being held in the Oakland County Jail on a $2 million bond. Sheriff Bouchard emphasized the need for public vigilance in places like changing rooms and during medical procedures to prevent such incidents. In response to the allegations, Goldfish Swim School stated that Aejaz had not been affiliated with their facility for several months and pledged full cooperation with law enforcement as the investigation continues. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is urging any potential victims to come forward.
