Leopard Attack Kills Youth in Nashik

In a heartbreaking incident, 17-year-old Vitthal Bhima Potdar lost his life to a leopard attack in Vanarwadi, Dindori taluka, on Thursday evening. The young boy was returning home after grazing cows on Khanderao hill when the leopard, known for previous attacks on local animals, struck. The attack has left the village in mourning, prompting a swift response from local authorities. Forest Department Officer Ashok Kale confirmed the fatality and arranged for the body to be sent to Dindori Rural Hospital for an autopsy. In a separate incident, police have arrested three men involved in a violent robbery at a golf club in the area. The suspects, identified as Akash alias Akya Vijay Bhoir, Arbaz Aslam Sheikh, and Rakesh Deepak Gangurde, were apprehended after they assaulted a youth named Sunil Singh and stole money from him. The attack occurred on Monday evening as Singh was walking towards Sharanpur Road during a sudden downpour. The assailants demanded money for alcohol, with one suspect threatening Singh with a wooden stick before forcibly taking 500 rupees from his pocket. The police were able to identify and arrest the suspects using CCTV footage from the vicinity. Sub-Inspector Sonar is currently leading the investigation into the robbery, which has raised concerns about safety in the area.
