Seven individuals have been charged following a ram-raid incident at Elbit Systems UK, a defence technology company located near Bristol. The incident occurred in the early hours of August 6, when a group used a vehicle to break through the firm's doors. Among those charged is Samuel Corner, 22, from Devon, who faces multiple charges including violent disorder and grievous bodily harm. Other individuals charged with violent disorder include Leona Kamio, Charlotte Head, Zoe Rogers, Jordan Devlin, Fatama Rajwani, and Hannah Davidson. In addition to the seven charged, two others have been detained on suspicion of terrorism offences. The investigation has been taken over by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE), who are currently conducting further inquiries. Detectives have been granted additional time to question the suspects as they gather more evidence related to the incident. A woman from south Wales, who was previously arrested in connection with the investigation, has since been released without any further action taken against her. Authorities have reassured the public that there is no known "wider risk" to the local community in South Gloucestershire following the incident. Superintendent Dan Forster, the north east area commander for Avon and Somerset Police, emphasized the importance of community safety and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address the situation. The investigation continues as police work to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the ram-raid.
