The vacancies are distributed among several forces, with the Border Security Force (BSF) offering 186 positions, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with 120, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) providing 100, the Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB) having 42, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) with 58 openings. Candidates will be evaluated through a series of assessments, including a Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and a Personality Test or Interview. Candidates are advised to adhere to specific guidelines for the examination. They must bring a clipboard or hardboard without any writing, along with a black ballpoint pen for answering. Additionally, it is essential to carry the admit card and a government-issued ID, such as a voter card or Aadhar. Strict regulations prohibit the use of books, electronic devices, and communication tools within the examination venue. To ensure a smooth process, candidates are required to arrive at the examination center at least 45 minutes before the scheduled reporting time, as emphasized in the UPSC CAPF admit card 2024.
