NYSE seeks SEC approval for extended 22

On October 25, 2024, Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, proposed an extension of electronic trading hours to 22 hours on weekdays. This decision, pending approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission, represents a significant transformation in the trading landscape. The proposed schedule allows trading from 1:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. EDT, providing expanded access for traders and investors alike.
