Pro-Trump PAC to Spend $100M on Ads
- Pro-Trump PAC plans $100 million ad spend before Labor Day to boost momentum.
- Former President Trump aims to regain lost ground after Democrats rally around Kamala Harris.
- The hefty ad budget signals a fierce political battle in the upcoming days.
A super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump, Make America Great Again, Inc., has announced a significant advertising campaign, pledging to spend $100 million on ads leading up to Labor Day. This initiative comes as Trump seeks to regain momentum following the Democratic Party's consolidation around Kamala Harris as their presidential nominee. The PAC's executive director, David Lee, and senior adviser, Chris Grant, outlined plans for a $70 million wave of TV and digital ads targeting key battleground states, including Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and North Carolina, while also expanding efforts in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona. The advertising strategy aims to portray Harris as "the most radical liberal ever to run for President" and a "soft-on-crime radical." The ads will focus on her record on immigration and her tenure as the district attorney of San Francisco. Despite Harris not being officially designated as the "border czar," Trump and his campaign have attempted to frame her as responsible for immigration issues, a narrative that has been met with scrutiny. Trump's campaign has struggled to maintain a consistent attack line against Harris, who has gained traction in polling and fundraising since becoming the presumptive nominee. On the campaign trail, Trump has experimented with various criticisms, including questioning Harris's racial identity and highlighting her past progressive stances. MAGA Inc. has already invested over $111 million in pro-Trump advertising this year, playing a crucial role in the campaign's messaging strategy.
