Two sisters vanish in Aberdeen without a trace

In early January 2025, Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, 32-year-old sisters of Hungarian origin, disappeared in Aberdeen, Scotland. The sisters were reported missing after sending a text message indicating they would not return to their shared flat. Their landlady notified the police the following day when personal belongings of the sisters were found left behind. Extensive searches initiated by Police Scotland covered the River Dee and harbour area, utilizing resources such as dive teams, police dogs, and air support. Yet, despite these efforts, no trace of the women has been found as of today. The investigation revealed that the last recorded sighting of Eliza and Henrietta was on January 7, 2025, at approximately 2:12 AM at Victoria Bridge. CCTV footage captured the sisters as they were seen crossing the bridge and walking towards a nearby footpath leading to the river. Detectives also confirmed that a text was sent from Henrietta's phone shortly after they were last seen, stating that they would not return home, but after that, there was no activity on her phone. In response to the sisters' disappearance, the police carried out extensive searches of the River Dee and the surrounding harbour. Various resources, including the dive and marine unit and specialist police teams, were deployed in hopes of locating any signs of the women. Superintendent David Howieson indicated that thorough inquiries are ongoing, despite the conclusion of searches in the immediate river and harbour areas. The police have stated that there is currently no evidence suggesting foul play or suspicious circumstances surrounding their disappearance. The family of Eliza and Henrietta expressed immense worry and concern regarding the situation, underlining the distressing nature of their disappearance. They have been actively seeking information and appealing for anyone with knowledge about their whereabouts to come forward. As of now, investigations continue to explore coastal areas north and south of Aberdeen in hopes of finding further clues that could lead to the sisters.
