Story

On January 14, 2025, Dusit International, a leading hotel and property development company based in Thailand, announced plans to significantly bolster its presence in the Philippines through the establishment of two new hotels under the Dusit Princess brand. The hotels, named Dusit Princess Moena and Dusit Princess Firenze, are slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2029. They are strategically located in Mindanao, particularly in Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro, areas noted for their rapid growth in tourism and business sectors. Dusit Princess Moena is set to be a key feature of the sustainability-oriented Moena Mountain Estate in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. This hotel will comprise 184 rooms and is designed to offer a luxurious experience for both business and leisure travelers. It will include an impressive suite of facilities, such as an outdoor pool, a gym, a multipurpose area, and an all-day dining restaurant. Moreover, its location in a lush, mountainous setting aims to attract visitors seeking nature-oriented activities, complementing existing attractions in the region like Dahilayan Adventure Park. Similarly, Dusit Princess Firenze will be an integral part of the Firenze Green Tower project situated in the commercial heart of Cagayan de Oro. This 14-storey mixed-use development is characterized by its eco-friendly design and is expected to host 180 hotel rooms on the upper floors. It aims to enhance the guest experience by providing premium facilities such as a gym, spa, and various multipurpose spaces, all while offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Dusit International’s commitment to high-quality service is anticipated to resonate well with the rapidly evolving market in this city, known as the Adventure Capital of the Philippines. The collaboration indicates the strategic vision of both Dusit and IDC Prime, reflecting a mutual commitment to sustainable development and high standards of hospitality. The two hotels will not only enhance the tourism appeal of Mindanao but will also contribute positively to the local economy. Through these projects, Dusit International aims to continue its legacy of combining Thai-inspired hospitality with the unique characteristics of the Philippine landscape, ultimately facilitating meaningful experiences for guests and sustainability efforts in the local community.
