Laurence Fox charged with sharing explicit image of Narinder Kaur

In the United Kingdom, Narinder Kaur, a well-known broadcaster, reported a violation involving an intimate image of herself that originated from an incident in 1996. The image, taken without her knowledge as she exited a taxi, was shared on social media in April 2024 by actor Laurence Fox, who did not take the photograph himself. This act prompted Kaur to describe her feelings as "violated, humiliated and degraded." Following her report, the Metropolitan Police conducted an 11-month investigation into the matter. They eventually charged Fox under section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, which prohibits sharing sexual images without consent. Fox, now also involved in politics, is due to appear in Westminster Magistrates' Court on April 24, 2025, to respond to the charge. If convicted, he could face up to two years in prison and may find himself on the Sex Offenders Register.
