The Michigan State Police (MSP) reported that the incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. on the southbound John C Lodge Service Drive at W. Grand Boulevard. The man rear-ended a trooper's patrol vehicle, which was stationary in the center lane at a red light. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the collision, and the damage to the vehicles was minimal. The driver was subsequently issued a citation for distracted driving and was released at the scene. The MSP took to social media to highlight the importance of maintaining focus while driving, emphasizing that eating while driving can lead to dangerous situations. MSP 1st Lt.
