Antwerp Police Starts Quick Recruitment Program

Antwerp's police department has introduced a new recruitment initiative named “Start ANDERS snel,” aimed at expediting the hiring process for police inspectors. This program allows selected candidates to begin working in police roles immediately, even before completing the standard assessments. By providing hands-on experience from the outset, the initiative seeks to enhance the training and adaptability of new officers. The launch of the “Start ANDERS snel” program has garnered significant interest, leading to the closure of registrations just six hours after opening. Originally intended to last five days, the application period was cut short due to an overwhelming response, with the police initially aiming to recruit 28 candidates but receiving far more applications. Police spokesperson Kim Bastiaens noted that the level of interest exceeded expectations, highlighting the program's appeal to potential recruits.
