Tampa police have reported that a recent homicide was the result of a long-standing rivalry between rival gangs. The incident involved multiple gunshots fired at two vehicles in a parking lot, leading to the death of 26-year-old Jones, who was celebrating his birthday at the time. Authorities have confirmed that the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office made three arrests on Saturday, charging suspects Andrews and Chance with premeditated first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. On Tuesday, police announced the capture of Rashad Murphy, 30, who is also charged with murder in connection to Jones' death. However, another suspect, Davion Murphy, 27, remains at large and faces similar charges, including first-degree murder and multiple counts of attempted murder. Investigators revealed that on the day of the shooting, Chance and Andrews tracked Jones and his entourage to two locations before the fatal attack. The shooting unfolded when a vehicle circled the victims' parked cars before three assailants exited and opened fire, resulting in Jones' death and injuries to three others. Authorities have identified Jones as a member of the "6 Block" gang, which is embroiled in a feud with the "ATK" and "1200" gangs. The sheriff's office emphasized the ongoing nature of the investigation and warned that criminals will not find refuge in Florida.
