Pioneer Consulting to Deploy Petrobras' Fiber Optic System in Brazil

In Brazil, Pioneer Consulting has been contracted by Blue Marine to support the deployment of a new fiber optic cable system in the Campos Basin, enhancing telecommunications for Petrobras. This project is an upgrade to existing infrastructure and aims to modernize connectivity while allowing for future expansion. The system will connect 12 oil and gas production platforms through a 440km repeaterless trunk-and-branch network, utilizing advanced technologies such as Remote Optically Pumped Amplifiers (ROPA) and Raman amplification. The project builds on Pioneer Consulting's ongoing work in the Santos Basin, where they have been involved since 2021, providing expertise in oil and gas telecom engineering and installation oversight. The Campos Basin project is expected to be operational by early 2025, showcasing Petrobras' leadership in deploying fiber networks in the oil and gas sector. The collaboration between Pioneer Consulting and Blue Marine highlights the importance of combining specialized knowledge in telecommunications with extensive experience in subsea systems, ensuring the successful execution of this significant infrastructure project.
