In a recent survey commissioned by OnePlus, it was revealed that a significant portion of the British population, specifically 41%, identifies as thrill-seekers eager to embark on adventures such as exploring the Galapagos Islands or trekking in the Amazon rainforest. The study highlights specific dream travel experiences that include catching the Northern Lights in Finland and whale watching in Iceland, alongside aspirations to trek the Great Wall of China. Notably, 12% of respondents expressed a desire to dive in the Great Barrier Reef, showcasing a diverse range of adventurous ambitions. However, the survey results painted a stark picture regarding the limitations faced by these adventure-seeking individuals. Approximately 53% of participants disclosed that various factors, particularly work commitments and anxiety about the unknown, often inhibit their ability to pursue the adventures they desire. Specifically, a third of the participants attributed their hesitance to real and perceived pressures from their jobs, while 34% reported anxiety regarding unfamiliar situations, which deters them from fully engaging in their adventurous aspirations.
