Story

Jasveen Sangha, dubbed “The Ketamine Queen,” is facing serious charges linked to the death of actor Matthew Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing on the iconic television show "Friends." Reports suggest that during discussions about ketamine use, Sangha may have referred to Perry by his character's name. The investigation intensified after Perry was found unresponsive in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home, with the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office attributing his death to the "acute effects of ketamine," alongside contributing factors such as drowning and coronary artery disease. In addition to Sangha, two doctors, Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Dr. Mark Chavez, along with Perry's former assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, are implicated in the case. Prosecutors allege that Sangha and another associate, Fleming, communicated on the day of Perry's death, discussing ways to distance themselves from drug-related activities, including deleting digital evidence. Fleming has already pled guilty to conspiracy and distribution charges related to ketamine. Sangha faces multiple charges, including maintaining a drug-involved premises and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and ketamine. While Sangha and Plasencia have pleaded not guilty, Chavez has agreed to plead guilty. Iwamasa has also pled guilty to conspiracy charges. Perry's family expressed their hope for justice, while the official "Friends" Instagram account honored the late actor on what would have been his 55th birthday. Perry's passing has deeply affected his co-stars, who shared their grief over the loss of their beloved friend.
