Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Life of 6-Year-Old in North Texas

NORTH TEXAS – A heartbreaking incident unfolded on Tuesday when a 6-year-old boy lost his life after being rescued from a pool in the Marine Creek Ranch neighborhood of northwest Tarrant County. Emergency responders arrived at the residence located at 5808 Westgate shortly before 6:30 p.m. to find the first grader from Parkview Elementary had already been pulled from the water. Despite immediate medical attention, the child was transported to Cook Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:26 p.m., as confirmed by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office. The circumstances surrounding the drowning are currently under investigation by the Fort Worth Police Department's Crimes Against Children's Unit, which is leading the inquiry into the tragic event. Capt. Shawn Stone of the Fort Worth Police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that further information will be released only after consultation with the unit. The community is left in shock as they grapple with the loss of a young life. In response to the tragedy, the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District has deployed crisis counselors to Parkview Elementary to support students and staff during this difficult time.
