Benson Boone, a first-time nominee, is up for three awards, including Best New Artist. Meanwhile, Lisa, known for her role in Blackpink, will make her solo debut at the VMAs after making history last year as the first solo female K-pop artist to win a Moon Person. Originally scheduled for September 10, the VMAs were moved to avoid a scheduling conflict with a presidential debate.
