Ukraine drone firm Tekever plans 200 UK jobs in three years

Tekever, a tech company specializing in drone technology, has recently expanded its operations in the UK, creating 30 jobs in Aberporth, Ceredigion. The company plans to generate an additional 200 jobs over the next three years across its two sites in Aberporth and Southampton. This growth follows the successful development of the AR3 drone, which has been utilized for surveillance and intelligence gathering in Ukraine, particularly highlighted by a recent £60 million investment by the Ministry of Defence for new surveillance drones for the Ukrainian army. The AR3 drone is notable for its versatility, capable of flying for up to 16 hours and being launched from the ground or vertically. It serves various purposes, including maritime patrols and monitoring critical infrastructure like oil and gas pipelines. The establishment of Parc Aberporth as a test and evaluation center for unmanned aerial vehicles in 2006 has been pivotal for Tekever's operations, allowing for customization and testing of their platforms.
