Over 70 Women Share Their Abuse Stories Against Mohamed Al Fayed

In September 2024, five women who survived the sexual assaults by Mohamed Al Fayed spoke publicly for the first time during an interview with BBC Breakfast. The women had previously remained anonymous while enduring years of trauma after being abused by Al Fayed, who was the former owner of Harrods. Many of the women only confided in this group about their experiences, as they felt isolating shame and fear. Following their disclosure, over 70 additional women reached out to the BBC with their own abuse stories related to Al Fayed. This collective effort has highlighted a significant issue of sexual misconduct and the impact of similar experiences among numerous women.
