Ewan McGregor returns to stage acting after 17 years

In the United Kingdom, Ewan McGregor has shared his excitement about returning to the stage for the first time in 17 years. He will be starring in the production My Master Builder at the Wyndham's Theatre in London, which is set to run from April 17 to July 12 next year. The show is inspired by Henrik Ibsen's 1892 play The Master Builder and has been adapted by US playwright Lila Raicek. McGregor expressed that Raicek's adaptation offers a modern perspective on sexual politics, which he believes resonates with current societal issues. This production marks a significant return for McGregor, who has had a diverse and successful career in film, having starred in classics such as Trainspotting and Moulin Rouge, as well as playing Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars series. In preparation for this role, he shared how he had recently read Ibsen's original play, finding it remarkable, which coincidentally led him to Raicek's adaptation.
